I think I like it!

Was given a sample size of this in eau de toilette, and I quite love the fragrance - slightly smoky in an insence-y way, musky, I get the very subtle drifts of rose & bergamont...it's feminine, a bit mysterious, but earthy - all in all, just lovely. HOWEVER...if I were to buy this scent, it would need to be the eau de parfum version, as I'm discovering TBS's eau de toilettes are equivalent to body sprays in strength and lasting power, and this one leaves me desiring more...punch. I'll think I'll definitely be purchasing this fragrance, but only in the eau de parfum...and I'm dreaming that TBS will make this in a 'perfume oil' - a girl can dream, right?!

I adore this body oil (I love many of them, as long as it's a scent I like). The fragrance is to die for and the oil light and beautifully textured. Because I also adore Chocomania body butter, my favourite way to apply the oils is to first emulsify the body butter a bit in the palms of my hand and add a drop or two of oil, blending the body butter and oil together. When I apply this blend to my shoulders, arms, and legs, my skin feels sooo moist and takes on a fabulous glow. I bought this oil when it was 50% off, so it was a super deal!

I've always loved richness of The Body Shop vanilla scents, especially the vanilla body butters and perfume oils. But this perfume oil is as much about the florals as it is the vanilla. Since the straight vanilla perfume oil has been discontinued, I've found myself grasping at straws, trying various other vanilla products by The Body Shop, which has been a disappointing venture. If you like floral blends, this perfume oil might be for you. For me, not being a big floral scent gal, I wasn't happy with it AT ALL. So, I'm unable to speak to its performance, value, or quality, since I was simply so disappointed in the fragrance per se. I want a straight, rich vanilla - no florals or anything else, and it seems The Body Shop isn't providing that these days.

It's been a year since I purchased the Cocoa Butter Hand & Body Lotion, but I happened upon these reviews, so I thought I should add my two cents. The scent was the most disgusting I've ever smelled. I used it after a shower and it quickly took on the most putrid aroma I've ever experienced. I couldn't stand the smell of myself and quickly ran a bath to remove it. I quite love the smell of the Cocoa Butter Body Butter, but with this lotion...something had to have gone horribly wrong with the fragrance formulation. I got my husband to smell it; he shuddered. I like a very wide variety of fragrances, but this lotion hit the trash can within minutes of its first use. As for its moisturizing properties, I was unable to concentrate on that aspect long enough to properly assess it - I was too focused on holding my breath until I got it off. What did it smell like? Well, it certainly wasn't anything close to cocoa butter - more like…burned rubber or…something. Other than that, I can only describe the scent as noxious.

True Lemon Scent

Scent is so personal, but I LOVE this body butter ...and the lotion. Personally, I think it smells like lemons - 'real' lemons, not having the verbena type lemon scent that you find most often - and which I detest. For me, TBS got the scent of this body butter right!!! I've enjoyed the rich texture of the butter, and I find it smells great for hours after application. This one's a winner in my book.

I just adore this body butter. It smells AMAZING!!! I love how it melts into my skin easily, and that fragrance and moist feeling lasts all day. This one's a winner!
