Love the nostalgic girly scent of strawberry candy

The first year Strawberry body butter came out I got it for Christmas and I was so excited. I had a huge collection of body butters at that time and this ended up in my top 3 rotation. One reason I use this one so much is that it is not as greasy as some of the other body butters so I don't feel like I have a residue on my skin, which is nice when it's as hot and humid as it is here. The scent smells kind of like a fake strawberry gum straight out of the plastic tub, but once you get it on your skin it fades to a light sweet strawberry candy like scent. If you want a tart, tangy strawberry scent than this is not for you, but if you like smelling like a strawberry milkshake buy this butter! I am always surprised when I get compliments on the scent of my lotion from men and this is another one of those scents. I keep a mini tub of it next to my bed and refill it from the big one with a spoon. I'd recommend this mini body butter as a great introduction into body butters for a little girl.

If you love Coconut Body Butter this is for you!

When I first sniffed the Vanilla Body Butter Duo in the store I immediately thought "That smells familiar". I kept doing a comparison sniff between all the body butters and it hit me, it smells like the coconut body butter. When you put this body butter on the smell changes a bit and starts to smell more chocolatey like a mix between coconut and cocoa body butter. As it dries it ends up on my skin smelling like coconut and cocoa with a soft powdery, almost floral vanilla dry down. This is a sweet smell, but not sickeningly so and is inoffensive enough you could pair it with your favorite fragrance or a different hand lotion. The lighter lotion in this duo is what I have wanted all the body butters to be from day one. It's a bit thicker and more moisturizing than the whipped lotions and sucks into my skin in about 5 minutes without a greasy sheen. The thicker body butter portion of this duo is what you'd expect from a body butter. It's hard and thick and rich and glides on with a bit of a greasy sheen, but I found once I rubbed it into my elbows and knees and lathered the other lotion on top of it it is the perfect texture. I'm normally a foody vanilla or nutty type lotion lover, but when it comes to the duo's I recommend the Floral Acai as it is such a yummy fruity floral I fell in love with it immediately. If you like the inoffensiveness of the vanilla, but aren't a fan of vanilla scents, the Macadamia is a lighter nuttier, but somehow powdery still scent. Out of the four scents I'd rate them Acai, Vanilla, Macadamia and lastly Sweet Pea (blech! too strong and floral).

Great Scrub For Oily/Acne Prone Bodies

I'm a huge fan of the majority of The Body Shop's scrubs, but the Strawberry Body Polish holds a special place in my heart. The first time I smelled it I was whisked back to a nostalgic memory of a certain strawberry scented shampoo and lip gloss my friends and I all coveted in middle school. The scent is very sweet and strawberry jam like, not tart or realistic, more like sweet strawberry candy. In a word it is absolutely delicious. Unlike the scrubs in the little plastic tubs, the body polish is more like a shower gel with gritty bits in it. It doesn't leave a gross residue in your tub and can easily be used on your shower pouf. Sometimes in the summer I get clogged pores on my chest that break out when I spend a lot of time exercising and this polish gently cleans and removes dead skin without causing more breakouts. After i get out of the shower I layer this with the Strawberry Body Butter to get the scent to last. Next on my list is the Strawberry Body Mist, to me it is by far the best smelling mist.

Man Approved Body Butter Scent

This is one of the few scents that every man in my life has approved of. What's not to like? It's a very true to life refreshingly tangy orange scent. I find some of the other Satsuma products have a gross carrot like after smell to them, but not the body butter. It is not an overly greasy body butter and soaks into my skin without leaving an oil slick. It's great for the summer because it smells so clean and refreshing. It's such an old comforting favorite. Satsuma was THE scent that got me hooked on the body shop and I remember burning the Satsuma home fragrance oil in my house and car like 12 years ago. I just picked up another tub of Satsuma body butter today. I also recommend the Satsuma Body Mist. Yum!

The same great coconut scent without the grease!

I've been absolutely in love with the scent of Coconut Body Butter for years and have tried over and over to love it, but I find the body butter far too greasy for my skin. The Coconut Shimmer Body Lotion has the same great scent, but it in a light lotion that soaks easily into your skin and leaves a soft shimmer. The shimmer is soft and sparkly in the sun, not an unnatural glittery disco ball. I find the lotion is not particularly moisturizing and that the scent doesn't last long, but it's fun to reapply so I'm still going to give it 4 stars for performance. If you're like me and you find the Coconut Body Butter just way to greasy I'd recommend this or the Coconut Milk Body Lotion in the spray bottle that doesn't have shimmer. It's even less moisturizing in my opinion, but provides that same coconut scent. The Coconut Body Mist is yummy as well, but I find the scent differs a little from the moisturizers. Anyways I love that this lotion comes in a pump bottle as I find it more hygienic than the tubs and I also love how the shimmer looks against my tan in the summer. Wish it came in a bigger bottle!

Lingering plumeria-like scent!

After smelling the Moringa body butter, I had dismissed the scent as "old ladyish". When I found a little sample container of Moringa Shower Gel at the bottom of my bag when I got home I almost just gave it to my friend. I'm glad I opened the container and gave it another sniff, the smell is heavenly. The only thing I can think of that it reminds me of is sweet, feminine plumeria. It's a strong, but refreshing scent and it lingers on your skin after you've rinsed. I don't find the shower gel moisturizing or drying, it's just cleansing. For a girl who normally is not big on florals I have to say I'm surprised at how much I'm loving this shower gel and it's on my list for next time! I think this would pair nicely with the Floral Acai body butter duo for those (like myself) who are not fans of the Moringa body butter.
